I offer Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga classes in several locations in Northern Virginia – The Burke / Springfield / Fairfax, VA., Chantilly / Centreville / Sterling VA area currently. I hope to be in Herndon / Reston soon.
Wear: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and shoes with no heels or plan on wearing socks.
For health maintenance and relaxation, the practitioner does not have to be an expert. Anyone can learn to practice these arts to maintain and improve his or her own health.
Come relax, and learn Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga…
(also Taiji and Chi Kung). Classes will be taught with an emphasis on relaxation and increasing flexibility, balance and stress-reduction. (I think we ALL need that right about now!!)
Modifications are available for physical considerations. Practitioners need not be experienced. Most classes require no equipment or special clothes – Yoga mats needed for Yoga Exploration classes.
The goal is to relax, have fun, and increase and maintain health through breathing and the gentle movements of the internal arts.
The movements are approachable to those who are in a compromised condition, yet they are still compelling to those who are athletic. The movements serve to strengthen and tone muscles, encourage the proper alignment of the skeleton, improve the function of the organs, enhance mental acuity and balance the emotions. It is a wonderful way to care for the whole person.
