Tai Chi Cheng Man Ching First Third Demo Front View
This video was created due to the multiple requests of my students. It is intended to support the practice of my weekly classes. It is with great humility that I publish this video. Thank you to all of my dedicated students. I hope this assists you in your learning.
About Just Breathe
Just Breathe offers Tai Chi and Qigong classes and workshops both online and in-person.
Classes are taught step-by-step with detailed instruction and guided repetitions with an emphasis on relaxation, stress reduction, and increasing health, balance, and flexibility.
Modifications are discussed for physical considerations. The goal is to relax, have fun, and increase and maintain health. We do this by using breathing and gentle, energetic movements.
The health benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong have been acknowledged by major scientific and medical studies such as Harvard Medical School and Mayo Clinic. The practitioner does not have to be an expert. Almost anyone can learn to practice Qigong and Tai Chi to maintain and improve his or her own health.
Teri, I am excited to announce that recently (winter 2020) I was able to make Tai Chi and Qigong classes available online with video-on-demand style training! Thank you for your inquiry.
Your commencement posture is incorrect. Check your lower limbs. They are moving all at once and your knees are collapsing. You have movement but lack chi.
I cannot attend your class in person. Do you have a DVD available for purchase?
Thank you.
Teri
Beautiful video! Looking for a teacher in Sonoma County, CA. Thank you.

Scott, thank you for your comment. I will be the first to offer that I am not “perfect” in my form. Tai Chi is a life-long pursuit of refinement, improvement, and self-awareness. I avoided publishing videos for years to avoid passing on possible imperfections in my form to others. My students begged me to begin posting video and constantly tell me how grateful they are to have them as a guide. It is progress over perfection. In my opinion, the goal of a Tai Chi practice is not perfection, the goal of a Tai Chi practice is to practice. With practice we strive to perfect our movements. If you were offended at my imperfection, that is OK. Tai Chi is based on the Tao. The Tao is based on nature. Things in nature are not perfect. I hope you find your perfection and a suitable teacher.
I had to stop watching it. The form should be done all at the same speed (silk worm analogy), and ideally stay at the same level throughout the form as well. Kris seems to move slowly, and then speed up, then slow, then speed up.
Great instruction and reinforcement. I especially like the clarifying labels. Thank you
Very instructive. I appreciate the video to be able to see it multiple times to be able to commit to memory.
Elegant and powerful…what a wonderful resource! Thank you, Kris!
I love these videos. I am just a beginner. It would be most helpful if there was a way to display the videos full screen. I am trying to follow along and get lost because the image is so small. Thank You. Will ever learn all this?
just lovely thank you Kris!
Thank you, Kris, for sharing this beauty and grace. I am so fortunate to be learning from you.
Awesome! Absolutely awesome! Thank you Kris!
