Even Tai Chi Classes are Going Virtual
In the past few weeks, our weekly Tai Chi classes have successfully moved to the online platform Zoom as we all do our part to flatten the curve of COVID-19. While the online class experience cannot compare to in-person group Tai Chi practice, it does actually have some great advantages. For example, every student has a front row seat to view instruction and postures up close.
One critical factor for successful online Tai Chi is to first learn the basics of using the Zoom tool. We have been meeting 15 minutes before and after our scheduled online classes to allow for basic best practices and instruction for using Zoom. We also use the time for some much needed laughter and socialization.
Many students are also finding themselves using Zoom for professional meetings and social groups as well. Ocean 5 Strategies has created a helpful blog to communicate some best practices and offer preparation guidance to ensure a positive experience for anyone attending meetings and classes.
